FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I take a course?

  1. Select the course you wish to take from the list of courses on our COURSES page.
  2. Download the course ZIP file to your computer and unzip the file.
  3. Print the optional pre-test and/or course handout.
  4. Follow the instructions on each page of the course until you reach the end.  You may do
    the entire course in one session or a few pages at a time.  It should take a total of
    approximately two hours to complete each course.
  5. When you reach the end of the course, you will be instructed on how to obtain and
    print a quiz and send it, with your payment, to the proper address.
  6. Our instructors strive to grade and process all incoming tests within 48 to 72 hours of
    receipt.  Assuming 70% accuracy on the test, your certificate for 2 clock hours of
    instruction and/or 0.2 CEUs (Continuing Education Units) will be mailed to you at that
    time.  If you do not achieve 70%, you will be receive a copy of your original test and a
    different re-test, which you may choose to take at no additional cost.

How do I navigate through the course?

You will page through the course by clicking the left button on your mouse.  Some pages will
ask you to click on a word or phrase like “Click Here” or on a particular object like a star.  
Word or phrases that you click on to advance are displayed in color and are underlined.  
Objects are not.

Most of the time you will use the navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen and the red
box at the upper right corner of the screen.  These buttons generally, but not always, do the
following:

LEFT ARROW=Go back one page
RIGHT ARROW= Go to the next page
RED BOX= Stop and exit
QUESTION MARK= Help

How do you protect the privacy of students?

MB&A Training abides by the student privacy guidelines as set forth by the Family Educational
Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and as stated in the policies and regulations of Bainbridge
College and other institutions with which we have a training and/or training content supplier
relationship.  Among other things, FERPA protects the privacy of educational records,
establishes the right of students to inspect and review their educational records, and
provides guidelines for the correction of inaccurate or misleading data.

Without your consent, MB&A Training will only provide access to your educational records to
the following:

  • you the student or to your parent/guardian if you are under the age of 18
  • representatives with a legal and legitimate educational interest such as a state
    licensing or regulatory agency other persons and/or entities as authorized by FERPA
    and/or state/federal law
  • authorized employees of MB&A Training

Among other things, as a student taking a course from MB&A Training, you have the right to
do the following:

  • inspect and review your educational records maintained by MB&A Training
  • request amendment of an educational record to ensure that the record is not
    inaccurate, misleading, or otherwise in violation of your privacy rights under FERPA or
    the privacy rights of others.

What if I need to talk to an instructor?

Our instructors are available to answer your questions about the subject matter of the
courses Monday through Friday, 9AM until 5PM Eastern time.  Outside normal business hours,
just leave a message with our receptionist and an instructor will get back to you within 24
hours, except weekends and holidays.

Do you provide technical support?

We hope you never have a technical problem, but if you do our technical staff is ready to help
you get back up and training again.  For technical assistance, visit our main website at www.
mba-edu.com and click on the SUPPORT tab.

How much does it cost to take a course?

The charge is $15 per person per two-hour course.  And, you pay only after you complete a
course and request certification.  The course ware is free

Are these courses accepted by state regulatory/licensing agencies?

Most states accept the two clock hours of instruction and/or 0.2 CEUs (Continuing Education
Units) you will receive once you complete a course.  When in doubt, check with your licensing
agency to confirm that your state will accept these credits.

Can I use your training to obtain or renew a CDA?

Yes, the Council for Professional Recognition that issues the CDA credential accepts the CEUs
you earn from taking our courses for CDA and CDA renewal.

May I send in quizzes for more than one course at a time?

Yes, you may send in quizzes for as many courses as you wish and include a single payment
for all of them.

May more than one person take a course at the same time?

Yes, you may do small group training.  Just follow the program’s instructions about which quiz
to print for each participant.

Do I have to print the handouts?

No, the handouts are provided for your convenience, and you can
choose to print them or not.

Can I take the course from the handout?

No, the handout is a reference tool.  The courses must be taken on your computer.

Do you have more courses?

We are actively converting our classroom training and developing new courses for CD-based
training.  Check with us when you need more classes, and we will send the new ones to you.

Do I need any special additional software to take your courses?

Yes, you will need some type of ZIP utility such as WINZIP to unzip the course files that you
download.  You will need Acrobat Reader to view and print the handouts and quizzes.  Finally,
you will need a Flash Player to run the course.  If you do not have current versions of these
utilities you can download them for free.  We explain how on the COURSES page of this
website.
