If you need certificates dated in 2010, you must meet one of the following conditions:
- Tests sent by fax or e-mail: We must receive your fax or e-mail on or before
midnight December 31, 2010. Faxes and e-mails will be automatically date stamped
when received. Certificates for tests faxed or e-mailed to us will be dated as of the
date we receive them.
- Tests sent by mail or other delivery services:
- If we receive your test by US Mail, UPS, FedEx or other delivery services on or
before December 31, 2010, your certificate will be dated the date we receive the
test. For example, you mail your test to us on December 28, 2009, and we
receive it on December 30, 2010. Your certificate will be dated December 30,
2009--the date we received the test.
- If we receive your test on or after January 1, 2011, your certificate will be dated
as of the postmark on the envelope or the shipment date on the delivery form.
For example, you mail your test to us on December 29, 2010, but the test is
not delivered to us until January 3, 2011. In that case, your certificate will be
dated December 29, 2010--the date the test was mailed.
our courses) in a calendar day. In order to meet this requirement, the state allows us to
process and issue certificates for a maximum of six hours (three courses) for a single
individual on the same day. The remaining certificates must be dated the next day. This
becomes a problem on December 31st. Consequently, if you plan to send more than
three tests for the same individual on the same day, you must send those tests
BEFORE December 31, 2010 in order to receive certificates that the State will accept.
For example, if you send us five tests for Jane Smith ON December 30, 2010, three of
her certificates will be dated December 30, 2009, and the remaining two will be dated
December 31, 2010. However, if you send us Jane's tests on December 31, 2010, the
State allows us to process no more than three of them on December 31, 2010 and the
remaining two will have to be dated the next business day, which would be January 3,
2011.
